Cookie Notice

Effective date: April 21, 2026

This notice explains what cookies the WorldProblems Solved platform uses and how you can manage them. It is operated by Kanata Florida, LLC.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the sites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work reliably and to remember state between page loads (for example, whether you are signed in).

2. Cookies We Set

We keep our cookie usage minimal. The Platform sets only the cookies required to operate:

  • Authentication session cookies. Set by NextAuth after you sign in with GitHub or Google. These keep you signed in across pages and are essential for authenticated features such as drafting, voting, and commenting. They expire when your session ends.
  • CSRF protection cookies. Short-lived tokens used to protect mutating requests (document creation, voting, comments) from cross-site request forgery.
  • Callback / state cookies. Temporary cookies set during the OAuth sign-in flow to verify the round trip with the identity provider. They are cleared once sign-in completes.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or analytics cookies that profile individuals.

3. Local Storage (not a cookie, but related)

The AI-assisted editor stores the API keys you choose to configure in your browser’s localStorage. These keys never leave your browser except as a transient header on AI-assist requests routed to the provider you selected. You can clear them at any time from the editor settings or by clearing site data in your browser.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies on a per-site basis. Blocking essential session cookies will prevent you from signing in.

5. Updates to This Notice

We may update this notice as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. The latest version is always available at this URL.
